UNIT-I Introduction to ASP.NET

Interrogating ASP.NET Framework: Overview of ASP.NET Framework, Part of an ASP.NET Application, Creating a Basic ASP.NET Application, Pre-compiling, Publishing and Deploying asp.net application, Understanding ASP.NET Controls.

Web Forms and Controls: Web Forms, Components of Web Forms, The purpose of web forms, Web Controls, Client Controls, Server Controls, Web Forms and HTML.

UNIT-II: Web Form Controls

Web Form Controls: Adding Controls to web form: Label Control, Literal Control, Textbox Control, Checkbox & Checkboxlist Control, Radiobutton, Button, Link Button, ImageButton, The ListBox Control, Image Control, ImageMap Control, The Panel Control, The Hyperlink Control, Running a Web Application, Creating Multiform Project.

UNIT-III : Advanced Controls

Form Validation:  Understanding Validations, Client Side Validations, Server-Side Validation, ASP.NET Validation Controls: RequiredFieldValidator, CompareValidator, RangeValidator, RegularExpressionValidator, CustomValidator, ValidationSummary.

Rich Controls: Using Rich Controls, Calender Controls, AdRotator Controls.

UNIT-IV: Introduction to ADO.NET & Data Binding

Introduction to ADO.NET: What is ADO.NET, Architecture, Conntected and Disconnected Database, Creating Connection to ADO.NET: ADO.NET Object Model, The Connection Class, The Command Class, The DataReader Class, The DataAdapter Class, The DataSet Class.

Understanding Data Binding: Data-Binding, Data-Bound Controls, Display Data on Data Bound Controls: List Controls, Tabular Data Bound Controls, Hierarchical Data Bound Controls.

UNIT-V: State Management in .NET

State Management: Client Based State-Management Options: View State, Control-state, Hidden Fields, Cookies, Query String, Server Based State-Management Options: Application State, Session State, Profile Properties, Advantages of different approaches.
